(+) The small tooth used as dentition is actually a tiny piece of adhesive putty (similar to Blu Tack).

It can therefore be removed if you prefer dolls with a slightly open mouth but without visible teeth.

You can also leave it in place safely.

Several dolls from my personal collection also have removable fake teeth : they are simply made with adhesive putty, and they hold up very well over time.
